Day One

Arrival in Sandakan

Welcome to Borneo!

Upon your arrival in Sandakan, we’ll greet you and transfer you to Sepilok, where your adventure begins.

Unwind in your luxurious rainforest accommodation, surrounded by the tranquility of nature, and prepare for an exciting journey ahead.

Day Two

Orangutans and Wildlife

Ease into the day by adjusting to the tropical climate and recovering from any jet lag. Spend time visiting the famous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, where you’ll witness rescued orangutans as they are rehabilitated for release into the wild. Next, stop by the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, home to the world’s smallest bears. Later, explore the Rainforest Discovery Centre, where your Legend guide will introduce you to the rich flora and fauna of the Bornean rainforest.

Day Three

Kinabatangan River Safari

After breakfast, head to the jetty for a midday boat transfer along the Kinabatangan River, venturing deep into the jungle. On your way to the lodge, enjoy a private river safari, with the chance to spot wildlife such as pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, and a variety of exotic bird species. After checking into your lodge, take time to relax in your jungle surroundings.

Day Four

Jungle training

Begin your day with an early morning boat safari along the Kinabatangan River. Later, join a jungle training session where you’ll gain invaluable survival skills. in preparation for our Jungle trek challenge.

As night falls, venture out on a guided walk to explore the nocturnal wonders of the rainforest.

Day Five

Crossing to Kinabalu

Bid farewell to the river and journey across Borneo. Traverse some of Borneo’s most famous roads as you make your way towards Mount Kinabalu, the tallest peak in Southeast Asia. Along the route, marvel at the changing landscapes— from dense jungles to mountain views. Arrive at Serinsim National Park, where will set up camp, rest and prepare for the jungle trek ahead.

Day Six

Jungle trek challenge

Start your trek into the heart of Borneo’s untamed jungle, making your way up Mount Nombuyukon. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the local ecosystems, the unique wildlife, and the indigenous culture. As the day draws to a close, set up camp near the summit and experience an unforgettable night sleeping in a hammock, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Day seven

Summit and descent

Wake up to breathtaking views as you summit Mount Nombuyukon. After reaching the peak and enjoying the panoramic vistas, begin your descent.

You’ll camp at the base of the mountain, where you can reflect on the day’s achievements and rest under the jungle canopy.

Day eight

Mount Kinabalu National Park

With an early start, exit the jungle and enter the famous Mount Kinabalu National Park. Check-in and begin your ascent of Mount Kinabalu. The trek takes you through lush forests and past unique vegetation as you climb higher.

You’ll spend the night at Pendant Hut, a cozy mountain shelter at 3,272 meters, where the air will be cooler, and the views spectacular.

Day nine

Summit Push

Wake up before dawn for the final push to the summit of Mount Kinabalu. As you reach the top, the sunrise over Borneo is a sight you’ll never forget—marking the pinnacle of your adventure.

After taking in the views and snapping some well-earned photos, descend back to the park. Once you’ve reached the pick-up point, you’ll transfer to Kota Kinabalu for a well-deserved rest in a luxury hotel.

Day ten

Kota kinabalu & Celebration

Escape to the crystal-clear waters of Borneo’s islands for a day of relaxation and adventure. Board our private boat for a guided snorkeling excursion where you’ll explore vibrant coral reefs and encounter a colorful array of marine life in one of the world’s most biodiverse ecosystems. After your underwater adventure, enjoy a peaceful lunch on board while soaking in the stunning views.

In the afternoon, we’ll return to Kota Kinabalu, where you’ll have time to unwind and explore this vibrant coastal city at your own pace. Stroll along the waterfront promenade, visit the bustling night markets, or indulge in some local delicacies at a seaside restaurant while enjoying the sunset.

Day Eleven

Journey home

After an unforgettable adventure through Borneo’s wilderness, it’s time to check out and head to the airport. Depart with incredible memories of the natural beauty, wildlife, and culture you’ve experienced.
