DIFFICULTY:
Embark on an Expedition into the heart of Morocco and learn the skills needed to take on a winter ascent of the highest mountain in North Africa. Mount Toubkal.
Our adventure begins in the city of Marrakech, where you’ll spend a memorable night in the bustling UNESCO Square, immersing yourself in the vibrant culture of the city.
The real adventure unfolds as we set our sights on Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak at 4167m high. Over two days we will make our way to the summit, rewarding ourselves with awe-inspiring views across the Atlas Mountains. But the adventure doesn’t stop there; we will mount waiting camels to traverse the Agafay Desert in search of your camp for the night. In the heart of the golden sands, you will find solace at a luxury camp, spending the night under a blanket of stars.
As our expedition nears its end, we’ll return to Marrakech to celebrate our collective achievement, creating memories to last a lifetime.
Day One
Arrival
Arrive in the bustling city of Marrakech, where the Legend Expeditions team will greet you and lead you to your hotel for the night.
Your journey kicks off with a team meal in the lively UNESCO square, setting the stage for an unforgettable adventure. Your Legend guide will prepare you for the next few days of adventure. Teaching you about crampons and all the gear you’ll need to summit.
Day Two
The Atlas Mountains
1750m to 3207m
It’s time for some adventure. Your destination? The Atlas Mountains. We will drive two hours into the Atlas Mountains to Imlil. This is where our trek begins. We will trek up through the snowy valley to reach our Refuge for the night. The fire will be lit and we will enjoy a meal from our private chef.
Day Three
Mount Toubkal
3207m to 4167m
With head torches and crampons on, we will begin our final ascent of Toubkal. The slopes will be steep, snow-covered and tough. But it is all worth it when you see the Summit suddenly area on the final slope. Unlike most climbs we don’t have to descend all the way off the mountain, as we stay at the refuge. Meaning we have more time to summit and enjoy the views.
Day Four
thrilling 4×4 transition ride
Today, it’s all about the grand transition. Say goodbye to the Atlas Mountains and brace yourself for a thrilling 4×4 ride. This journey takes you to where camels patiently await, ready to carry you deeper into the Agafay Desert. and to your luxury desert camp. The evening will be a chance to celebrate around the campfire.
Day Five
Agafay Desert
You will have the morning to relax at the camp before returning to Marrakech, but the adventure isn’t over. The bustling Marrakech market beckons with its vibrant energy, a fitting backdrop for your final team meal in the UNESCO Square.
Day Six

Your legendary adventure in Morocco is coming to an end. The team will transport you back to the airport, and as you journey homeward, you’ll carry with you the memories of this epic adventure that will last a lifetime.
